Office Yoga therapy chair exercises

Employees, and above all women, have a number of other responsibilities in their private lives, and do not have much time to exercise and relax. They often spend the entire day in front of the computer. Computers, artificial lighting, sitting for prolonged periods of time create stress.  Exposure to great stress,  in time leads to poor physical and mental health. Then life begins to sour and our goals and visions disappear from our mind. Office yoga therapy exercises can provide much relief and give you the tools to maintain your health and wellbeing.

Keep fit with office yoga therapy

Sitting by the computer for 8 hours, which has become inevitable when it comes to doing business in the modern age, can cause serious problems with the spine and general well-being of the body. We all can benefit from becoming aware of the ned to have a  digital detox, not just our children. Many people go from one screen to the next, the computer to the phone, phone to the TV. This constant supply of push technologies keep the body locked into one sedentary position. However, we often can’t afford to do this because of work and other obligations that tie us to our technologies.

Simple yoga therapy chair exercises

If you have a job that binds you to a chair in front of a monitor for 8 or more hours, introduce simple “yoga therapy chair exercises” exercises that you will do at least 2 times during working hours.

They will relax your body and help you regain concentration. It will be enough to do them for 5-10 minutes and you will already feel better. Not to mention how much more productive you will be at doing your job!

It is important to maintain balance and lead a more healthy lifestyle while still working with your technologies.

Here are some of the best exercises you can do while sitting by your computer.

Office Yoga therapy exercises

Twisting the Torso in the chair

This simple exercise will stretch the side abdominal and back muscles, as well as the cervix, while at the same time relaxing them. You can sit on the chair while doing it. Always aim to straighten your back when doing this exercise.  It is a good practice to stretch up wards on the inhale. Then as you exhale slowly twist around and relax your shoulders down from your ears.

Straightening the Spine

Our office Yoga therapy chair exercises will help you to maintain good posture and straight back. Most often we hunch over and don’t even notice it or we can stick our heads out towards the screen. Therefore, from time to time put your hands on the lower part of the back, and push your spine forwards. It will help to restore the vertebrae in the correct position. After some time we can lock into one position and this will keep the spine fluid.

Shoulder Rotation

A great exercise for relaxing shoulder muscles and neck. You can do it sitting in a chair, but also do it standing up to get your blood pumping. Relax your arms and rotate your shoulders backwards and focus on your breathing at the same time.

Wrist exercise

If you spend most of your working hours by typing on a keyboard, it’s necessary to stretch out your wrists from time to time. Stretch your hand, turn your palms up, and then grab the fingers of your extended hand with your other hand and pull them down with your palm facing upward, then do the same with your palm facing downward.
