As a Yoga Ayurveda therapist and founder of Yoga Works for Over 40s, I have had the honour to work with many people people over the last 30 years. Also I have learnt so much from my students from each and everyone of them. Read our Yoga therapy reviews below.
The psychology of the doshas in Ayurveda provides an insight into each persons personality quirks. Understanding the doshas gives an indication as to how they will practice yoga. It will predictably play out as they make excuses to themselves as to why they cant continue with a regular practice and not take responsibility for their health.
I have seen students who do maintain a regular yoga practice, live with excellent health and vitality. Their energy levels are high and their life is full, their life does not become smaller as they age. For these types are not constrained by ill health and live a prosperous life and reach their visions and goals.
Reviews Yoga Works for Over 40s
Below is a series of reviews from clients I have worked with and their thoughts and experiences of working with me.
Fiona – Yoga Ayurveda Refresh program
Fiona came to see me to get help for several body strain issues. We had a great consultation discuss her current lifestyle challenges, diet and other behaviours. The physical assessment addressed the areas of concern and was filmed for Fiona to refer back to.
This was followed by some advice on how to bring Ayurveda into her life regarding diet and other self care tips. Thanks Fiona – loved sharing my love of Yoga and Ayurveda with you.
Patsy at 90 and Yoga
Patsy will be 90 in March 2020. I first met her in 1999 teaching Yoga at Five Star Fitness gym in Port Macquarie.
Patsy is an excellent example of health and vitality. You can see this in her face, the brightness of her eyes and her ability to get up off the floor. I am inspired and enthused in her presence. She has an open heart and gives service willingly to help others. Living the life of a yogi in every way. Listen here to Patsy’s review of howYoga Therapy has given her strength to lead a full life.
Jane Yoga Ayurveda Refresh
Jane is a busy professional woman who needed to get away and have a weekend by the sea while learning how to manage her pain with Yoga Therapy. She came to Bondi and had the Yoga Ayurveda Therapy consultation and then stayed on to spend a few days by the sea. She had several injuries and was struggling with pain and the Yoga Therapy was filmed and given to her to replay and bring into her life on a regular basis, to manage her pain and increase strength and flexibility. Jane shares her experience of the weekend here.
Amanda Yoga Therapy review
Amanda is a local professional woman. She had persistent pain from frozen shoulder and was unable to get relief from all the traditionally approaches.
We designed a program to address her posture and provide exercises combined with the breathing and relaxation that would fit into her busy schedule. Almost instantly Amanda’s condition improved and she was further encouraged and supported to continue with the practice. It is now a part of her life. You can listen to her review here.
Jacinta – Mother of 2. Grandmother, Artist and Business owner
The weekend stay was exactly what I needed. I am happy to leave a review of how the Yoga Therapy has helped me. On the retreat I had my own time to reflect and walk around the area and much needed time, learning about what foods suit my body type and more importantly my condition – acid reflux.
I have been on medications for some years and I was still waking up choking on acid after going to sleep. This was after my doctor’s suggestion of raising the bed and not eating after a certain time. Zoe suggested taking one of my medications at a different time in place of another one which my doctor supported after the weekend.
I now only take that other medication if needed and have reduced it by half. I have not woken up with a choking since the weekend with Zoe. It was a raw feeling in my stomach that has reduced as a result of the stay. Zoe suggested what foods to eat and why in a completely flexible way which may involve trial and error. She cooked meals for me explaining the properties of each ingredient and how it will help.
I have taken on the yoga practice which was a goal of mine with a further benefit for my condition as tailored by Zoe. The consultation, meals and yoga were delivered in a flexible fun and easy way. It is obvious that Zoe has many years of experience and knowledge as her work seemed effortless and very professional. She is extremely earnest, helpful and genuine. The house is cute and the location needs to be experienced to be believed.

Joanne – child care coordinator
If I hadn’t experienced for myself what you have written so beautifully about I probably would be sceptical.
But my experience of using the yoga postures and breathing has been sooooooooooo good for me. I promised I would do my practice every day which I did for 2 weeks, and not for a week, due to a change in routine and not taking my yoga mat with me. Not doing it for a week has clearly shown me how much I need the practice for my physical and emotional wellbeing. I am forever humbled by Zoe’s skill and care in guiding me in my practice and am on my mat again! But really I will breathe well wherever I go now I am becoming more aware.
Damien – acupunturist
Zoe is a friendly, helpful and skilled person in many fields. I very much enjoyed her restorative and rejuvenating yoga sessions followed by excellent food combined with knowledgeable yoga philosophy.
In regards to her other activities, Zoe was very helpful with continuing my outpatient acupuncture clinic there in many ways. Firstly by facilitating the space in a friendly and professional manner and secondly by assisting with the design, promotion and dissemination of promotional materials on the internet and in physical form.
I have always found Zoe to be a friendly, supportive, professional and helpful. I respect her knowledge of Eastern philosophy and admire her many talents with computers and the internet.
Furthermore, Zoe is a delight to be around and I enjoy working with her. I would not hesitate to recommend her abilities and skills and please do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further information

I have known Zoe Campbell both personally and professionally for the past 35 years.
Personally, she has been a loyal, supportive and spiritual friend in times of need.
Professionally we have worked together on various projects from computer training, health and well-being involving meditation, yoga and remedial massage. She has a wealth of knowledge combined with formal qualifications in various modalities including education as you may well know and respect.
Her assistance in providing me and my staff with administration and service user issues in the past was priceless.
Zoe has a very strong work ethic and excellent communication skills. I would not hesitate in recommending her both personally and professionally.

Simone – teacher
I feel Zoe Campbell’s teaching experience is varied and practically based. It’s not a “chalk and talk” style but a “watch first and practise” approach.
I teach as well and I see Zoe has compassion for the learner and a feel for how to make the study applicable and useful to each of her students.
She focuses on them, not on her personal needs and achieves outcomes through their energy and motivation.
Basically, it is refined teaching with kindness and attention to the learner’s style of taking new things in.

I have known Zoe for many years and have always greatly enjoyed being in her
company. She is a warm, interested and friendly being. She is energetic,
enquiring and always ready to help. As a friend, she has my trust, respect
On the 30th December 2013 I sustained a very serious injury to my foot and
when I finally returned home after a long stay in the hospital, Zoe offered to
come by my home and help me with some remedial yoga. I already have an
exercise routine that I do daily but she showed me some yoga moves that
really complimented what I was doing. What I found particularly useful was
Zoe’s combining of Ayurveda yoga with Buddhist meditation. She emphasized
the importance of the breath in my movements and different postures. i.e. when
to exhale and inhale and the duration of breaths for different postures. She
also reminded me of calming my mind. She took a holistic approach to what
I could do to help my body recover from the trauma of the accident and for
that I am very grateful.
I am very happy to be contacted as a personal reference for Zoe and wish her
every success. She has a wonderful mix of personal warmth with high levels
of professional achievement and versatility in her chosen areas of interest
within the world of yoga and computer-related sciences and arts.
