Yoga

Yoga a complete lifestyle that connects body, mind, and spirit through ancient wisdom and modern practice.

Yoga has provided space inside of me to retreat, be still and listen. The mat is my safe place where I can totally surrender my body and mind. The sensations in my body remind me that I need to stop and humbly open my heart to a power greater than myself. Yoga brings balance to my heart and mind and soothes the vibration to ground, soften my belly and breathe. I heard it said if Yoga comes into your life, then it has been with you in a past life (this we may never know).

Yoga has it all, for me it is the complete lifestyle with just so many benefits. But not everyone is touched deeply by Yoga and for many they will drift in and out only touching the surface. The reason I love Yoga, Ayurveda and Recovery combined is – it fulfills my purpose to “know thyself” and helps me to be as clear as possible. There are many paths to the top of the mountain – but no other combines the body, mind and spirit in such detail that dates back thousands of years.

Sitting for prolonged periods

Taking Your Health Into Your Own Hands

Connecting the body with the heart and mind, puts our health into our own hands. No longer is there the need to sit with someone to ask what is wrong with you – with Yoga we often naturally know. We can nip any dis-ease in the bud before the fighter cells are taken over. A regular Yoga practice can improve an existing condition or create a solid maintenance program for every day health and wellbeing.

Yoga

Making the time to lie or sit and connect with your body and mind is one of the best things you can do. It is a great idea to find a private space where you won’t be disturbed. Somewhere you can stretch out, free from any disturbing elements.

YOGA AYURVEDA RECOVERY

With your own private space to create the union of Yoga, you will soon notice how the space calls out to you to come and be with yourself – “this is an act of love”. Think about creating a shrine that represents your love, and include elements from the earth, water fire, air and ether. The benefits will go deeper than the body, heart and mind and help you open to the subtle energies where pranayama, prayer, mantra, chanting, mudras and bandhas naturally evolve.

A Regular Practice Grows As You Do

We all know the feeling that there is always something else to do rather than just stop, breath and be with ourselves. So many excuses and diversions on the path. With the right intention – open willingness and humility yoga becomes a a prayer of transformation.

A regular practice grows and transforms as you explore deeper into Yoga. In fact, you will begin to notice how serene and balanced you are in all aspects of your mind body.

Growing into yoga

In Yoga, you learn to listen to your bodies, symptoms and needs. Every asana is best done by focusing on the breath. Consequently, the practice becomes the bridge between the body & the mind. Conscious breathing during Yoga creates a “meditation of movement.” Most people who practice yoga on a regular basis – (and this can be as simple as stopping for a moment to take a conscious breath, or making the effort to soften your belly, breathe, sit up or walk straight) – experience many immediate health benefits.

Yoga Clears Blockages in the Body

By connecting your mind with your body, you will learn and locate any blockages in your system. Blockages are created through stress, toxins, insufficient nutrients, poor posture etc. You then have the opportunity to take action. This might mean adding something to your diet, focusing on a particular breathing method or adding certain exercises into your regime etc.

Yoga is a science, a philosophy of life, a code of conduct, an attitude and an approach.

Yoga becomes a lifestyle that integrates into everyday life, where you begin to notice how your health improves and your mind becomes balanced away from extreme highs and lows. Initially many people are attracted to Yoga for the physical effects. However, in time they soon realise the practice is far deeper than this and brings balance to the heart and mind. A regular yoga practice can be something we can do to benefit our whole life and those around us.

Sitting for Prolonged Periods is a Danger to Our Health

Today our lives are very full. Most of us are sitting for prolonged periods of time, in front of a screen. This is hazardous to our health. By combining Yoga, Ayurveda and Recovery we develop awareness and learn tools to help with this massive onslaught of technology, that we all face.

Zoe Campbell

We see people plugged into screens everywhere we go. This is a constant invasion to your body and mind. Many of us sense the frozen symptoms and limitations of technology overuse. Our pineal gland can become calcified.

Despite our best intentions not to look at a screen, before long we are at it again. Technology is a business model that runs for a profit, and apps are created by behavioural scientists to be addictive. Often hours have passed where the body has been unnaturally still, while the mind is very active. Also, for many people they are left feeling unfulfilled and empty.
